On the other side of my window
My mind drifts away, in the light of the day
I hear the trees dance as the wind blows
I feel me out there, the wind in my hair
I'm chasing after butterflies
The warmth of the sun, bathes me while I run
On the other side of my window
I stare at somewhere, that's not really there
My days aren't real, it's all pretends
The way it starts, is the way it ends
I dream I'm better, or have I been
Inside looking out, or outside looking in
I look into this mirrored pane
I never see, a reflection of me
Now I know what I've been in search of
Because of hate, I've learned how to love
On the other side of my window
Where I've never been, just here in glassed in
I see beyond my eyes, no hate no why's
I just stare, through a window not there
The Other Side Of My Window
